Second, a note about the Faculty Lounge, lunches, and Brown Bag Lunches. As you recall, last year we reserved the Faculty Lounge one day a week for a Faculty Brown Bag Lunch and another day of the week for a Staff Brown Bag Lunch. (This is a time for anyone interested to bring lunch and eat together as a group if they wish.) We will continue to do that this year. The Faculty Brown Bag lunch day will change each quarter based on class schedules. (I think this quarter it's going to be Tuesday, but I hope to confirm that soon.) The Staff Brown Bag Lunch will be on Fridays.
In addition, we are going to continue the summer plan and reserve the Faculty Lounge from 12:00-2:00 the other days (besides the Brown Bag Days) for Staff AND Faculty to eat if they wish.
Confused yet? Don't be. I'll break it down.
Monday
Any staff or faculty can use the Faculty Lounge for lunch between 12:00-2:00
Tuesday
FACULTY will have their Brown Bag Lunch and staff will have to eat elsewhere.
Wednesday
Any staff or faculty can use the Faculty Lounge for lunch between 12:00-2:00
Thursday
Any staff or faculty can use the Faculty Lounge for lunch between 12:00-2:00
Friday
STAFF will have their Brown Bag Lunch and faculty will have to eat elsewhere (they usually aren't here anyway!).
Now. As we all know, there are many circumstances that arise when the Faculty Lounge is in use. We've tried to make that minimal this year. But we will do our best to let you know ahead of time what those days are so you can plan accordingly.
And then, as if that's not enough, there are those days once a month when we will have special organized Staff Lunches planned by one of you. Of course, you can make use of the Faculty Lounge on that day or you may plan something else for all of us. That's up to you.
SO...the important thing for now is:
