    First emergency compliment:

    "Your voice sounds like a thousand cats purring. Also, I'm on acid."

    That did not make me feel better, so I tried again. Second emergency compliment:

    "Everyone was super jealous of your SAT score."
    While that actually wasn't true...it was still better than the first one!
